Streamlined software platform automates and standardizes energy efficiency project valuation while matching investors to opportunities.
LISBON, November 9, 2016 – Jessica Stromback, Chairman of Joule Assets Europe, announced that the Sustainable Energy Asset Framework (SEAF) is ready to value and facilitate investment in energy efficiency projects. The announcement was made at “Investor Days Lisbon,” a conference hosted by The Investor Confidence Project (ICP) and SEAF. Led by Joule Assets Europe, the software development project is funded by a €1.7 million European Commission grant under the Horizon 2020 Programme for Research and Innovation. Key partners ICP and HSB Engineering Insurance provide project certification and insurance.
“Political goals alone will not bring standardized methodology to underwriting and valuating projects, said Jessica Stromback. “The SEAF IT Platform is a practical tool that directly responds to this gap in the market. It streamlines existing technology and knowledge in a way that drastically simplifies the pre-finance stage of a project, providing swift project valuation and financial analytics, access to ICP’s IREE™ [Investor Ready Energy Efficiency] Certification, an insurance statement of fact from HSB, and investor matchmaking. No other such tool exists and I am proud to have built a strong investor network that supports SEAF and has the capital to invest in our projects.”
Numerous contractors at Investor Days Lisbon had the opportunity to test the SEAF IT Platform. Feedback during one-to-one demonstrations confirmed that SEAF directly responds to contractor needs. The platform, ready to be tested on its initial projects, factors in more than two hundred energy conservation measures used in ten European countries.
According to Stromback, “No project is too small for SEAF. In fact, small projects are welcome. Our investors have the capital, the pipeline is there, and the SEAF Alpha version has all the necessary functionalities to deliver. Now we have to connect the dots.”
